Operation: DENT-ID XI

"Operation: DENT ID XI" will be a one-day exercise on Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) to be held at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC on Saturday November 14, 2015. The course will focus on postmortem aspects of a forensic odontology DVI response and will include a review of INTERPOL Identification software, morgue operations, stress management and radiation safety. The afternoon session will be a simulated morgue environment at the UBC Faculty of Medicine anatomy laboratory. Postmortem dental examinations, photographs and radiographs of human specimens will provide valuable, hands-on training in a realistic DVI simulation.

Registration is open only to BC-FORT members and those who have previously taken the introductory forensic dentistry course.

The British Columbia Forensic Odontology Response Team (BC-FORT) is a team of dental and associated personnel that are trained and prepared to respond to identify the victims of a mass fatality incident.
